Kellie Foster is a 6th Degree Black Belt at Paul Dye’s Kenpo Karate Studio with over 30 years of martial arts experience. She began her martial arts journey at the age of ten at Jeff Speakman’s Kenpo Karate Studio in Lake Arrowhead, California. In 1997 she was promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt and was Mr. Speakman’s first female black belt at the studio. In 1998 she moved to a small town near Covina, California, where she continued her Kenpo training under the direction of her instructor, Senior Master Paul Dye.

Kellie has competed in a wide range of tournaments throughout the years and won numerous titles, including 28 Long Beach International trophies and three world championship titles. In 2019 she was inducted into the Kenpo Hall of Fame and was also featured in Tom Bleeker’s The Journey – Book 3: American Kenpo’s Next Generations.

Kellie lives in Meridian, Idaho, with her husband Jamie (Jay-me) and all of their animals. She loves hiking in her spare time and looking for gems with her step-daughter, Isla (Eye-la). Kellie adores teaching children and loves seeing them achieve their goals in Kenpo. She also contributes her time and formulates women’s self-defense groups. She currently teaches a few students from her home. Kellie has participated in several Kenpo camps and has been involved in an abundance of karate demonstrations with Mr. Dye’s demo team. She always strives to train, teach and learn something new each day.
