Say What? Day 25?  I only have 5 more days?  I think Sean’s doing a happy dance as we speak.  I’ve mentioned before that I’m not going back to my old ways, however I need to have a balance between eating healthy and also living life.   I’ve been reading about the reintroduction of non compliant foods and how that will apply to me.  I’m to go slow at first, then bit by bit reintroduce one food group at a time.  I’m actually ok not having dairy reintroduced, I don’t need cream in my coffee anymore, I’m good with it being black and I know for a fact that dairy products don’t work with my stomach.  I’m ok with not eating beans too often (again, the stomach), and I might be ok with not eating bread and some grains.  I’m looking forward to starting this Paleo way of life and working with ingredients that are similar to what I currently have, but healthy such as Paleo breads, tortillas, cookies… all that good stuff.  There’s a whole world out there of healthy alternatives.

I think the 1st food item that I’ll introduce is Soy, from there I’m not sure, I might not introduce anything else.. except maybe honey. I am going to read the end part of book again to have a clear understanding to what I’m in for.

My 5K today went better than I thought. I ran 10.33 min miles finishing in 32 minutes.  I had a ton of energy and am so excited to have completed in that time.   I’m SOOO sore today, still.  Walking’s tough, getting up is tough, and sitting down is worse.  Need to take a bath with epson salts to sooth these tired muscles.  After the run, I walked home.  Looking at my VivoFit, I’ve walked/ran, 7.25 miles.

 

 

Challenge:  getting up

Triumph: Best 5K time ever (this technically my 1st competitive 5K) But I’ve ran 3 miles enough times to know that this was a great time for me.

 

Meal 1: Sweet Potato, 1 egg, 1 sausage- 2 cups of coffee

Meal 2: Avocado and shrimp salad at Rutabegorz, (much better dining out experience than last night) – water

Meal three: Mussels in a curry sauce with salad – water

I did snack a little today, I’ve been up since the crack of dawn, so I ate some macadamia nuts and a piece of cold chicken.
